The energy of the Sirius star constellation rises during this time, magnifying an energetic force for opportunities with dramatic new beginnings for those who believe in the mystical powers of this day.

This year’s Lion’s Gate portal creates an even greater than normal opportunity for manifestation and abundance. To understand why this August 8th is so special, you have to understand the significance of the number eight in numerology. The number eight represents wealth and abundance. It symbolizes success in setting and reaching goals, as well as a powerful and assertive energy for taking action. Because of its symmetrical shape, the number eight  also represents karmic and material balance. In spiritual teachings, the eight is associated with power, strength, ambition, efficiency, discipline, reality, money, finances, truth, integrity, abundance and prosperity. That is what makes August 8th such an important day in the mystic spiritual community. 

This year’s Lion’s Gate portal takes place on an eight year (2+0+2+4=8). The numeric and spiritual powers of the number eight are thrice magnified, allowing us to manifest, set goals, and achieve them with even greater intensity. 

How To Set Your Intentions

I’ll assume that you’re reading this article because you want to use the abundant energy of the Lion’s Gate portal on August 8th to manifest. The first step of manifestation is setting intentions. You have to know exactly is it that you want to manifest on August 8th. While the Lion’s Gate portal is ideal for manifesting wealth, money, power, truth, karma, or discipline; you can actually use this energy to call whatever you want into your reality. Money Drawing Ritual

If you want to use the Lion’s Gate portal to transform your financial situation for the better, performing a simple money drawing ritual on August 8th is a great way to do so. All you’ll need is a green candle and a bay leaf. Write the amount of money you desire to receive or how you wish to receive the money onto the bay leaf. Next, do a visualization meditation for a least 10 minutes. Really try to picture the money in your hand or bank account, how you feel when you have it, and what you’re doing when you receive it. The more you can visualize the end result of this ritual the stronger your manifestation power will be. Place the bay leaf under the green candle, light it, and let the candle burn out completely. Finish the ritual by burying the bay leaf and remaining candle essence in the dirt. 

Abundance Ritual 

You can perform an quick abundance ritual for Lion’s Gate portal using ground cinnamon. I personally do this every new moon to call in abundance and prosperity at the start of the lunar cycle. First, stand in front of the entrance to your home and place cinnamon into the palm of your left hand (you MUST use your left hand as this is is for “receiving”) then meditate on your manifestation. Remember, the clearer you are able to visualize your manifestation the strong it will be. After you finish meditating, blow your cinnamon into your home. You can sprinkle the remaining cinnamon on your hand into the doorway. This ritual will draw abundance and propensity into your home. If you don’t have ground cinnamon on hand, you can perform this ritual by burning cinnamon sticks and blessing the entrance of your home. Be sure the door is open so the smoke flows inside. 

Love Ritual 

If you want to manifest love and affection using the energy of this Lion’s Gate portal, all you need is a pink or white candle, honey, and a piece of paper to write on. Performing this ritual can strengthen your relationship or help you manifest self love and acceptance. You’ll begin the ritual by writing the name of your significant other or your own name. Next, add a dollop of honey and fold the paper towards you so that your writing remains inside. Folding the paper towards you will bring the energy of love to you rather that pull it away from you. After you have folded your paper, meditate on your significance other or yourself and the way you wish to feel loved. Once the meditation is complete, place the folded paper under your candle, light it, and let it burn out completely. Once the candle has finished burning, place the remains and the paper in the ocean, a river, or any source of natural flowing water.
